Specialty Coffee cups for Luta coffee shop

I made a set of Specialty coffee cups for Luta coffee shop in Zagreb, Croatia. Cups are inspired by the Japanese hand-forming technique called Kurinuki, which involves the hollowing out of a solid clay form by carving. Each cup is hand-carved and that makes it a unique piece. In my work I always use techniques much slower and more intimate than mass-throwing on a pottery wheel, because I want to feel a deeper connection with clay, and each piece is a way more cool when it's not perfect! All photos are by Luta coffee
