Ourea red clay cup with white glaze

Ourea cup exalts the texture and beauty of the raw clay, reminiscent of mountain landscapes and natural terrain. 

The name Ourea is given because in Greek mythology Ourea are the spirits of the mountains. 

Cup celebrate the traditional Japanese technique of hollowing and carving clay, Kurinuki. Each of these ceramic pieces is truly unique and only one available. The time taken to slowly carve each one celebrates the texture of the raw materials in contrast to “perfect” mass-produced ceramics. 

Approximate size: 100 ml up to the top

Details: The cup is made with a red-brown clay and has my sign at the bottom. Glaze is applied on the inside and roughly on the outside. Hand-washing is recommended but you can also pop it in the dishwasher. The cup is food safe.
