Planina Clay // Ourea cup with autumn colors
Planina Clay // Ourea cup with autumn colors
Planina Clay, the clay mixture I made by myself, includes five different types of clay, carefully mixed to create a shade of brown-beige color with soft and earthy tones and tiny white and brown specks. It's warm, but not too dark.
Everything I made with it is sooo unique, because you can’t find this clay color in any store.
The quantities are limited and will be available only in this and the next collection.

Ourea cup exalts the texture and beauty of raw clay, reminiscent of mountain landscapes and natural terrain.
The name Ourea comes from Greek mythology where Ourea are the spirits of the mountains.
The inspiration for these cups comes from the traditional Japanese technique of hollowing and carving clay, Kurinuki. Each of these ceramic mugs is truly unique as it is individually carved by hand. The time taken to slowly carve each one celebrates the nature of the raw material in contrast to “perfect” mass-produced ceramics.
Details
The cup is made from Planina Clay and finished with a combination of glazes with autumn shades. Each cup has a Planina sign at the unglazed bottom. Hand-washing is recommended but you can also pop it in the dishwasher. All cups are food safe and lead free.
Each mug approximately holds 220 ml.
Please remember that these aren’t mass-produced ceramics made in molds - each one is unique, so there may be some differences between the photos and the ones you receive.
